Detailed Summary[]

The trio, who were playing with a volleyball, are now staring at the ball which lies mangled and deflated on the floor. Yanagin is in shock and Ikushima asks Habara how she managed to damage it that badly. Habara apologizes.

Yanagin asks the others what they should do now and Ikushima tells her to think of something herself. Yanagin suggests they try doing impressions of others and goes first. Folding her arms, she adopts a serious expression before pushing her glasses back with a finger and grinning slyly. She tells the others it’s an impression of ‘Forest’, but they have no idea who that is.

Ikushima goes next. Displaying a flushed, wide grin, she says it’s “Yasunaga-chan’s” smile, and the others find it to be a good resemblance. Habara goes next and widens her eyes and appears extremely serious, acting like ‘Nishida’ when annoyed. This makes Ikushima and Yanagin keel over in laughter.

Ch94

Habara's acting proves popular

Yanagin then prepares to impersonate “Kawamura-senpai” when she’s angry, but the others say that anyone could do that. She then notices Takahiro, who has walked up to them. He asks them whether there was really any fun in acting like others they knew. Without waiting for an answer, he remarks that the girls really seemed to get along well with each other.

This puzzles the trio. Yanagin tells him that if they really got along well, they’d have gone to the same high school. Habara agrees with that, as does Ikushima. Takahiro can’t make head or tail of that reasoning and a note tells the reader that he just doesn’t understand women at all.

Notes[]

  • The people being imitated by the trio are not introduced in the series. However, some of them bear fleeting similarities to familiar characters.
    • Yanagin's first impression is confusing to her friends, but it does resemble the Central High Vice President's smile of victory. Similarly, Habara's impression of 'Nishida' resembles the Vice President.
    • 'Kawamura-senpai' could refer to Yanagin's senior, seeing that all the three have frequently seen her flare up and could hence find her easy to imitate.
    • 'Yasunaga-chan' could refer to Yassan. Ikushima's flushed grin resembles Yassan's usual expression upon meeting Hidenori.
