Detailed Summary[]

In Habara’s room, Ikushima and Habara are sitting on the floor, facing each other. They are squaring off in the hammer-helmet variety of rock-paper-scissors. They start playing and cast paper and rock respectively. Ikushima reaches out for the hammer, but Habara has already put the helmet on.

Ikushima notices this as she raises the hammer, and is startled by Habara’s speed. Yanagin, who’s watching the game, scribbles something down in a notebook. She announces that they’re changing things a little and says that they are using new hand signs for rock, paper and scissors.

She proceeds to demonstrate the signs, which are all quite contrived. After this, Ikushima and Habara face off again. They play scissors and paper respectively, but take some time decoding each other’s hand signs. This enables Ikushima to react at the same speed as Habara and successfully use the hammer, unlike previously.

Ch106

The new hand signs

Yanagin remarks that Habara’s ability to adapt was the same as that of a normal human and notes it down. Habara then asks her what she’s up to and she responds that it’s an investigation. When asked to disclose the nature of the investigation, she keeps quiet.

After a few seconds, she tells Habara that investigation concerns the measures to be taken if the Archdemon is unleashed and goes berserk. This causes a tearful Habara to yell at the others to stop treating her like a monster. Behind her, Ikushima is shown to be unimpressed at her distress.
